Ghanaian musician Deborah Vanessa, who has always indicated interest in acting movies, has finally got a chance to see this dream come true. We wonder why she kept it a secret when she was shooting scenes, and has now come out to inform fans, just when the premiere of her first movie is only a few weeks away. We guess she didn’t need the pressure she could face, while the movie was still is the shooting process.
A source close to Sister Debbie reveals to us that remaining scenes of the movie are still being shot. The movie titled 14:32 is to be premiered in Ghana at the National Theatre on the 3rd of September 2015. In the movie she played the role of Dofi, whom she claims reminds her of ‘chofi’. 14:32 was directed and produced by Augustus Edgar Quartey (aka) Tagor.
Prior to this new movie, Debbie had featured in her brother Wanlov’s ‘Cos Ov Money’ musical, and also Kalybos’ Boys Kasa skit.
Deborah Vanessa just announced her entry via a post on Instagram. She posted a photo from a scene in the movie, alongside the caption;
“MY 1ST FEATURE FILM CALLED 14:32 COMES OUT ON 3 SEPTEMBER 2015 IN GHANA AT THE NATIONAL THEATRE IN ACCRA. I PLAY THE ROLE OF DOFI… I KNOW, IT REMINDS ME OF CHOFI??. COME AND WATCH BUT FOLLOW @EXPOSURE_NETWORK FOR MORE UPDATES IN THE MEANTIME. #1432#THATMOVIEFROMGHANA ?? ”
