NPP Women’s Organizer stabbed to death

The Women’s Organizer of the Bibiani Ahwiaso-Bekwai branch of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been stabbed to death.

The deceased, Amina Kande Moro was killed in cold blood following a misunderstanding with a neighbour whose name was given as Mercy Nana Yaa Nyamekye.

The Bibiani Ahwiaso-Bekwai Police Commander, Superintendent Nana Kumi in an interview with Adom News said the two women were very good friends but the relationship turned sour after the suspect accused Kande of gossiping about her.

“Nana Yaa almost separated with her husband shortly after their wedding but the NPP woman helped save the marriage so she went to the house to wish them a Merry Christmas when the unfortunate incident occurred” he added.

The Police Commander indicated that, an angry Nana Yaa engaged Kande in a fight which was separated by residents.

Unknown to Mr. Joseph Nyaunu, his wife jumped out of the room through the window, and stormed Amina’s room, where she stabbed her in the chest with a pair of scissors and a knife.

Kande was rushed to the hospital but died upon arrival. Meanwhile, 40-year-old, Nana Yaa is currently on the run.

Supt. Kumi said the police has mounted a manhunt for the suspect.

Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been deposited at the Bibiani Government Hospital morgue pending autopsy.
