The new device, PHANTOM 5 hailed as the brand’s most sophisticated device yet, was unveiled at a short ceremony at its corporate office at Darkuman in Accra.
Chief Executive Officer of Chamber of Telecommunication, Kwaku Sakyi Addo disclosed that mobile phone penetration in Ghana has risen to about 31 million as compared to over decades ago.
According to him, mobile technology is making major impact in the Ghanaian market with commercial transactions conducted electronically on the Internet.
Business Manager of TECNO Ghana Daniel Glover, also asserted that the new product is revolutionary and shall soon take the Ghanaian market by storm.
He said the device is ultramodern in many ways considering it feature accessories.
Mr. Glover noted that in support of bridging the digital divide with hi-tech quality products into the country, MTN Ghana has partnered TECNO and is offering a 6 Gigabyte free data for six months as additional portfolio.
The 5.5 inch full high definition (FHD) screen phones has a luxurious metal appearance, and comes with Android 5.1 operating system, MT6753 Octa-core processor, 32GB internal memory (ROM), 3GB operating memory (RAM), 13megapixel rare camera and 8 megapixel front camera (both with flash lights), and a 3000mAh battery.
